Bevan Lisle

Director Government Relations and Strategic Communications

‘If you scan the horizon, often the risks involve government policy changes. So your risk treatment needs to be strategic and have buy-in at Board level. Ask do you need a process lane to swim in, or is this about having a social license to operate?’

Bevan has more than 25 years of experience as an advocate and campaign manager for issues and public policy – with expertise in developing social licensing campaigns as a permission to operate.

His most recent experience is as CEO of a national health industry association where, amongst other matters, he managed two cutting edge digital campaigns.  One of those campaigns: Protect Home Visits saw over 150 000 online subscribers, a record number in the recent history of public affairs campaigns.

He commenced his career as a lawyer before becoming a Chief of Staff in the Goss and Beattie Governments in Queensland.  This was followed by a directorship in a public affairs agency and time in-house as a corporate affairs, membership and communications director.

Bevan is a seasoned and trusted strategist to Associations, Boards, CEOs and Ministers, and has sector experience across health, finance, resources, energy, publishing and intellectual property, and school and higher education.  His particular expertise is in developing policy with a social license supported by a complex array of stakeholders.
